Labor – or Labour?
On September 6 in the U.S. we celebrate Labor Day; in Canada they celebrate Labour Day. However you spell it, here are some quotations about work to go with your celebration:

Men are made stronger on the realization that the helping hand they need is at the end of their own arm. – Sidney J. Phillips
When your work speaks for itself, don’t interrupt. – Henry J. Kaiser
I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it. –Thomas Jefferson
The person who is waiting for something to turn up might start with their shirt sleeves. – Garth Henrichs
I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. – Thomas Edison
Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle. – Abraham Lincoln
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there. – Will Rogers
And finally, this from Ann Landers: Nobody ever drowned in his own sweat.
Sincerely,
Hal Tennant
