1. In order to send a text message to someone via your computer over the Internet you need to know how to format the message. And in order to format the text message properly one needs to know the cell phone provider. If the cell phone provider is known proceed to the next step.
2. Next follow these steps carefully. Now let's suppose your friends cell phone provider is Verizon. In order to send an email via SMS (Short Message Service) to Verizon cellular phones you should use this:
   phonenumber@vtext.com
3. For AT & T you should use this:
   phonenumber@txt.att.net
4. For Sprint:
   phonenumber@message.sprintpcs.com
